2 pieces, each one of a kind
Wheel-thrown stoneware from a two-person studio in Vermont. Every piece here is the only one of its kind — when it’s gone, it’s gone.

We throw everything on two wheels in a converted dairy barn, and fire about once a month. A firing takes three days from loading to opening the kiln, and something always surprises us.
That’s why nothing here comes in sets of six. If you like a piece, it’s the one in the photo — the same weight, the same drips, the same thumbprint inside the foot.
Ines and TomasHearth & Clay, Wexley, Vermont
Ines and Tomas are fictional, like the studio.
Each piece is thrown on the wheel from a weighed ball of local stoneware, then left to stiffen overnight.
The foot is carved the next day. This is where most of a piece’s character is decided.
Glazes are mixed in the studio and dipped by hand, so the line where glaze meets raw clay is never quite straight.
A bisque firing, then a glaze firing to 2,300°F. What comes out is what you see here.
